Well I don't know if it's just a contact high after a year of no Peep Show or not but I fucking loved that.

I wanted to wait until next Friday to watch it (dunno why) but caved in and watched it on Saturday afternoon. Thought it was really good, some big laugh out loud moments.

Classic Peep Show
Really really enjoyed that, certainly set the bar for the series

Yeah, brilliant first new episode. Surpassed my expectations, I was expecting it to be funny but not quite have the same quality as the classic stuff, but was really up there with the best episodes. Nice ending to the episode too.
Also like how the show's evolved from two guys in a flat going around and doing silly stuff like fucking a goth girl, to dealing with big life events like marriage and fatherhood. I always thought when they got older it wouldnt have the same sheen but it's still the best comedy on the box IMO.

Armstrong and Bain said in an interview both of these guys were in the final three to play Superhans at audition:

I actually thought this was one of the poorer efforts, though I loved the first one.

Wasn't fussed at all on last nights
But I'm so comfortable with the characters now that it's always entertaining.
Those 2 new characters Ben and woman are gash. But then again all the 'extra' characters end up being having no personality. At least Elena was fit innit

I actually watched it last night, never really watched it before.
It was absolutely horrendous. One of the worst things I've ever seen.

I thought it was mostly splendid too. Mark's story worked really well and was the highlight for me - I loved his outrage at Gerrard thinking they were social equals, the way he talked about feeling no resentment about his child's pissing habits, talking about what he'd do to Jez if he ever 'came at him', the Dobbie 'ring', 'Corfu '06', all of it really . Interesting though that both plots were retreads: Mark and Jez stalk Mark's love interest out on date with a rival & Jez is in/out/in a band before a final humiliation by Superhans were both done before. With Mark it worked really well, he's still neurotic but ultimately he was chasing a girl he genuinely liked this time and was ballsy enough to come clean and tell her honestly how he felt. With Jez though it just feels like you've seen it all before. I know he's a slacker and that's sort of the point but he's exactly the same type of slacker as he always was, doing the same stories with the same outcomes. I thought they reached a crossroads with him joining a cult a couple of series back, but looks like they didn't . The boyfriend/boss looks a classic Peep Show twat to me though, and I done a big laugh at Jez lording it in his Ray-Bans at Hans' gig.

Also Zara looked a lot hotter in this episode than the last one.
