better than most of bob dylans recent shit, so credit there. Still tho, bit droll and lyrically boring IS IT FUCK. I read the majority of the album is a bit more upbeat than this. Hope so because this is pretty dull.

LOL
Feel the power of MY list.
1) Scary Monsters (best album ever) 2) Station to Station (second best album ever) 3) Ziggy Stardust (third best album ever) 4) Diamond Dogs (fourth best album ever) 5) Low (6th best album ever after appetite) 6) Hunky Dory (9th best album ever after hounds of love and GNR LIES) 7) Aladdin Sane (11th best album ever after Exile) 8) Young Americans (probably in my top 100 albums, plastic soul > leef - U mad?) 9) Lodger 10) Heroes (massively overrated, take out heroes and Joe the lion and the album suffers, sense of doubt is a cool clock work orange tribute though) 11) Heathen 12) Lets dance (Sorry Eddie, I do love it though) 13) Reality
OWNED.

I feel the power of your Bowie-love and respect it Axl. But Kickin' Up A Storm still holds the title of the Soapbox's no 1 Bowie fan.

no worries mate
what are your thoughts on heroes?
Low >> Lodger >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Heroes
Heroes and Lodger both live off the glory of low IMO.
Bowie should have made a double album out of Low/Heroes/Lodger
Fuck that would have been amazing.

I've only recently got into Lodger. It's a pretty complex album, but I prefer it to Heroes. If the latter didn't have its title track, I think people would view it as a bit of a dud tbh. But then again listening to Bowie on the last two minutes of Heroes the song is like being touched by god, one of the most incredible vocal performances ever.

Agreed Chrissie, Agreed.
Look back in anger is also like being touched by god, on the willy.

But then again listening to Bowie on the last two minutes of Heroes the song is like being touched by god, I had that feeling with Noel's version of it, if you replace 'God' with 'Jimmy Savile'.
