Where to post this, Beady Eye, Noel or Music?
Setting Sun sung by Liam. There's more where that came from. A tape brought by members of the L4E forum, these are all Real People demos from 1993. A new song is there as well 'Lock All The Doors' (not that new...) and different mixes of some of the songs on that demo tape, oh and a rerecorded version of Must Be The Music.

If I didn't know what I was listening to, I'd say that sounds like someone doing a Liam impersonation. As it is...wow.

Yeah, you've only to got to listen to the whole thing to know it's all from the same session as the Columbia demo on the Supersonic single and the Alive demo on the Shakermaker single. The double-tracked vocals are shitty sounding, a single-tracked vocal would just sound better.

So this is the full demo session recorded at The Real People's studio - a few tracks of which ended up on the swirly union jack cassette they gave to McGee?
Here's hoping Colour My Life and Must be the Music are included.

A Live4ever forum group effort recently made the purchase of a rare Oasis demo cassette possible. The tape is a mix of recordings that were made at the Real peoples studio in Liverpool and The Broadwalk in Manchester between 1992/1993. Guigsy made a copy of the tape in his bedroom
Read all about the cassette on our forum Various fans have been making the tracks available online now. Special thanks goes to L4e member NoelsOasis for organizing the purchase.
Track List:
Alive Fade Away Must Be The Music Setting Sun Lock All The Doors Strange Thing Rock n Roll Star Columbia Bring It On Down Cloudburst Columbia

further example of noel lying. he said he had a taxi waiting outside whilst he went in to record with the chemical brothers and had written it in 20 mins.
great find though.

whenever i hear this stuff i always wish they'd made another album before definitely maybe; i love the sound of their early demos and there were some great tunes amongst them.

Maybe under a different name, early official Oasis couldn't be better tbh. But yeah, this is great. It's hard to understand why they never went back to this sound in the noughties.

Must Be The Music Those double tracked vocals are fucking awful though. Oasis live in 1993 must have been the BOMB.

And are they going to give the tape to noel? I'd be surprised. They obviously had the master tapes in 94 when preparing the songs for the Supersonic and Shakermaker singles, and anything from then should have been vaulted. The reason the 89 tape was given to Noel was because of a quote in one of the Paolo Hewitt/Paul Mathur books saying he no longer had a copy of them.
