nice one JP. That band you just posted sound OK but I get the feeling we are going to have a 1000 of these Strypes style bands shoved down our throats over the next year or so.
fucking DOT, as long as they dont clash with Kraftwerk I'm there! Bit disappointed that Mark Lammar's jukebox on paper doesn't look as good as usual. Wanda Jackson last year was the nuts.

Yeah, the outdoor DJ stuff is OK but I like to be inside. I liked it when they put the guilty pleasures in the comedy tent

anyway here's some tunes by some other artists on the bill i quite like...
diiv are a jangly american indie band who i quite like. normally love this kinda stuff and whilst im not completely sold on this yet i think they could be decent live.
drenge seem to be getting quite a lot of hype at the moment too. again im not completely sold but might be worth checking out...
hookworms seem like a decent mbv/ bjm/spiritualized type band...
the bots are about 12 and play ok garage rock. could be fun live...
bo ningen are some mad japanese group. i saw them supporting british sea power a few years ago and were pretty crazy live...
coves have a the kills vibe going down. bird seems quite fit...
joanna gruesome have a early pains of being pure at heart sound going on. i properly love this tune....

Cheers bruv. Got to catch the Bots, that shit looks great. Proper garage-rock, not like that yardbird wannabe shit that everyone is wanking over now. I've seen Bo Ningen a couple of times, intense. That joanna gruesome tune could be great if they wasn't so fucking lo-fi. Coves seem alright, will catch those out. Probably Hookworms too as I think Johnny & MrDavid like them though I've tried some youtube clips in the past and I didn't think too much but maybe they'll be worth it live.

Nice one JP, I've not booked the train yet will do this weekend. I'll text you whatever time I arrive in Dill(?), I think the bus from there took about 45 mins last time so we'd be there about the same time. I reckon I'll be there for about 3 or something. Is there anything planned for Thursday entertainment? I know they had Tom Jones a few years back.

FFS You've really got to come Glasto next year bruv. I forgot how much Latitude costs, it is only £10 less than Glasto, instead of the Stones you get Bloc Party, it doesn't add up.

but instead of mumford and sons you get kraftwerk. its all relative, plus latitude is about 30 miles away rather than about 300 apparently the bowie stuff in the film tent is also happning thursday night too. last year the demot oleary thing was pretty funny. i nearly got crushed to death.

Thurston Moore solo is the most pretentious act I have ever seen. Avoid at all costs, unless you want to walk away from it punching every hipster you see.

He isn't even playing, he's just reading some poetry

I saw him in about 07 when he released Trees Outside the Academy & it was a pretty good show. The support band was some bird with a violin making a weird noise for 40 minutes, it was painful.

he might not be just reading poetry, not sure tbh. hes in the poetry tent but in previous years they always have a few musical acts in there. ive seen eddie argos do a music set in there and scroobius pip.

The set I saw was half music, half poetry and half fucking around with his guitar's tuning. I was so mad.
