And they're Christians They did cover 'There She Goes' though... First one is the anthem of every rockstar and the last two are just two stone cold 'Knuffelrock' classics.

The best thing about this borderline 30's bullshit is listening to songs you liked as a kid, but were ashamed of during your post-adolescence cause it wasn't cool.
NO APOLOGIEZ

^Too true, had it majorly at a party to that the other day. Saying that I did buy it the same day as DYKWIM in 97. Think I then immediately entered that shame phase as I left the shop as I instantly regretted it, never played it and hid it away.

Think I then immediately entered that shame phase as I left the shop as I instantly regretted it, never played it and hid it away. 97 was a weird year for me cause I was into the whole Britpop thing but I also liked all these pop bands (I was 13 at the time). Middle of Nowhere and Be Here Now were probably my 2 most played albums that year. 'I Will Come to You' made me cry Anyway I dunno if this is considered 'pop', but hey:

Love pop.
All Saints - Pure Shores. William Orbit production, forget the pretty average movie to which it was attached - great pop song, and they all look amazing in the video.
NKOTB - Step by step, Tonight, The right stuff - the first boy band of the modern era?
Take That - Patience, Never forget, Rule the world, Back for good - the greatest boy band of the modern era.
BSB - As long as you love me, I want it that way, Incomplete, Quit playing games with my heart - apparently the most successful boy band of all the times.
N*sync - Bye bye bye - always the Monkees to BSB's Beatles, this was their only decent song (and thus their best)
Pussycat Dolls - I don't need a man - their strongest track by far, and a great video (though perhaps unsafe for epileptics).
Madonna - nothing fails - under-rated latter era single.
Nelly Furtado - Say it right - the only decent offering from her post-Slutstoration period.
Christina Aguilera - Dirrty ("It's about time for my arrival"? Yes!), The voice within, Stronger - rock solid run of singles.
Shania Twain - From this moment
Celine Dion - To love you more
Mariah - My all, I still believe
That Amerie track is amazing.

Too right, that is a fucking tune. Pure Shores is gorgeous too. If we're counting that early 2000s punk pop in here then surely there's no more positive, sweet pop song in the world than this

Nah, I don't rate that song at all. I much prefer the soppy ballads.
