That Noel, being a dick as a usual, pushed Liam G too far backstage at a gig at Paris. Liam responded by smashing one of Noel's 890 guitars. Noel then jacks in one of the greatest bands of all time.
Who over reacted? Was it just as well they split when they did?
I say yes. Otherwise they just would have drifted away into a world of half-truths and rumours about when the next Oasis tour would be, before Noel inevitably announced to Q magazine or someone equally as bland that they probably wouldn't be getting back together.
Let's face it, none of really wanted them to see them turn into the next Rolling Stones. A wrinkly Liam aged 62 belting out 'Let There Be Love'? No thanks. Better to burn out than to fade away.
And plus, we now get BEADY EYE.

Saw them live last year and it didnt feel like oasis anymore. All noels fault no since hes not been mad for it for a good decade and subsequently didnt have the balls to quit the band and waited and waited till things exploded. And fucked my big mouth off the setlist, i bet that was his decision as well. At least Liam doesnt slag off be here now INNIT. And is still mad for it. i dont have a problem with beady eye touring till theyre 82, andy bell looking like gandalf, gem like a modern day bonehead and liam with no limbs and a piss bottle, they would still ROCK, probably.

shame it finally imploded. they put up with each other for nearly 20 yrs. what's another 20 yrs.  but it gives noel a chance to finally make some solo records. and leaves open the possibility of a lucrative reunion in a few years time. the last record was very disappointing i thought.  |

didn't realize einstein was in a band for twenty years. Liam's "job" was never songwriter though, he just did it as an addition to being vocalist - doesn't really matter if they're shite. If noel had some better ones they'd never have had to put liam's on the albums. |

If noel had some better ones they'd never have had to put liam's on the albums. well according to someone at live4ever that knows spike stent the reason lets all make believe didnt make the record is because of liam. he insisted that little james appeared on it. liam was the better vocalist pre 2000 he hasn't been that in a while now either. |
