Alex Lowe was heard shouting "Step into my world, N*****" at security before the McNamara bro's escorted him from the premises.

I'd imagine this news will cause a chain reaction between other forgotten touring britpop bands.

Chrissie, on my one day off a week I got up at 6am to create these incredible puns and this is all you can say? You think I can remember Embrace song titles off the top of my head all these years later? Above the song-pun game now you've been to Dubai are we?
Watch your back Rhino.

Can we change this thread to Erasure puns instead of Embrace puns? That way I would have a little respect for you.

Embrace are playing ally pally in December... WTF???
How are these shit bands now doing bigger venues than ever? How are Shed 7 now playing fucking arena's and shit? I saw them at the fucking Barfly about 15 years ago, nobody gave a toss.
Can't wait until the Rakes return in 10 years time and play Knebworth.

My own pet theory is because there’s a generation of guitar bands who have failed to make any big commercial breakthrough. There’s been plenty of great bands since 2010, but precious few have pushed beyond the level of playing 1200-capacity theatres. Look at the few that have and can fill arenas - absolute dross like Catfish and the Bottlemen. Meanwhile, you have this massive demand for, ahem, traditional guitar bands. There’s yer dads in their 40s who enjoyed the 90s first time around, and then a new generation aged 14-25 who missed Oasis before they split. They want to see authentic mad fer it bands and there’s few left. Along come real 90s bands like Shed Seven and suddenly they sell out 5000 capacity venues, despite being the single worst act in musical history. The last Roses gigs and the LG Finsbury Park shows were further examples. Thousands of kids who wouldn’t even have seen Browno solo shows first time around. Poor bastards who probably think Embrace are worth paying £50 to see.

I blame the Wynd, if you cunts hadn't been so lazy there'd be no need for the Sleeper reunion.

Rod decided he would rather spend his days in North TCOTU buying £6 pints of pale ales and going on dates with woke birds with names like Emmy, than hanging out in grim Leith rehearsal studios practicing the same 10 song set over and over again.
I am tempted to form a Wynd splinter group. Potential names include The Bind, The Dined, or The Mined.

If I had a quid for every time I had to explain that wynd is a Scots word for a passageway / alley / hidden lane, I’d be able to pay Chuzeville never to make another album.
Side note: I would like to release an album’s worth of demos / alternate takes under the name Wynd & Dined
