Not the biggest fan of Bug tbh, its a decent album but not my favourite, saying that, I have seen them do 'You're Living All Over Me' in full before so can't really complain, Deerhoof are a really great live band aswell, always loved seeing them, the drummer is AMAZING.
We'll have to meet up for a beer JP, i'm sure Karl will be there too, he text me about the gigs

That's a cool gig and all but I hear bad things about the Ally Pally.
Also, am I the only one that's getting fed-up with these ''ooh let's just play an album'' gigs? It's cool when a band like The Stooges reform 40 years later to play some songs which were never really played live in the first place, but what the fuck are a band like Deerhoof doing it? Pointless.

Its just a bit of fun Chrissie you grumpy cunt!
Ally Pally is a bit shit, but if anyone can pull it off it'll be the Flaming Lips

was gonna ask about ally pally kev, i take it its just huge and soulless?
also its not gonna be possible for me to get back to victoria station for the 11.30 train back to norwich is it? might have to look into somewhere to stay the night a bit nearer the time.
fuck that though, im actually gonna book tickets and sort other shit out later.

zzzzzzzzz another great point there kev
it's fast becoming another fad that increasingly desperate promoters are using to shift gig tickets. it was cool when it first started but now they happen every week.

Yeah the venue can be a bit shit, it is pretty huge, but they can adjust the size depending on the gig, I've seen Arcade Fire & Pixies struggle to pull it off, but both the Strokes and White Stripes do great gigs there, just depends really, the worst thing about it is getting to and from it, as its up a great big cunting hill in the arse end of the tube network, you have to get off the tube then catch a shuttle bus to the venue, you can walk back from it but you'll definitely struggle to get back to Victoria for 11:30, in fact I don't really think you'll have any chance at all.
Chrissie, who gives a shit though really, if people are buying the tickets and going to live gigs, who cares, they hardly need Deerhoof on this bill to sell more tickets do they, its just a bit of fun and one that ATP started and have done for a few years now, i've been to a few and they have always been enjoyable

Don't get me wrong (if I have a pound for everytime I've said that on this forum..) I've been too a few myself and enjoyed them, but I think there's other 'hooks' bands could use to entice punters to see them. a b-sides tour maybe, playing songs in alphabetical order, wearing Bruce Dickinsson masks, anything.

Chrissie just has the hump because everytime a band decides to do this type of gig it's always in THE CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSE.
I'M SEEING PHONICS DO WORD GETS AROUND, SUCK IT UP PRICKS

Yeah, not happy about the venue, nor the price, nor the fact I bet they now go & add a 2nd date on the saturday but still should be a top gig.

Yeah i thought about the possibility of them adding a gig on the saturday. i think if they did id sell the fri tickets and get them for the sat as it would be loads easier for us. couldnt take the chance though and had to get fri tickets just in case, this gig is too good to miss
