Schedules released, obviously some clashes but could be worse. Is anybody going to this?

Havent look at the schedule yet, figured that's a nice puzzle to do on the plane. Also couldnt immediately find it on the Primavera website so I stopped bothering. But yeah, given we won't kamikaze against an Alp I'll try and be there.

Routes time:
Thursday -> Twerps?, Cheatahs, Benjamin Booker, The Replacements, end of Mikal Cronin, Spiritualized, The Black Keys, Jungle? Worst clashes: Benjamin Booker vs Viet Cong / The Replacements vs Mikal Cronin
Friday -> Fumaça Preta, Ex Hex, say hi to The New Pornographers, Tobias Jesso Jr., Belle & Sebastian, The Church, start of Ride, Ariel Pink, Alt-J? Worst clashes: Julian & The Voidz vs Ex Hez vs The New Pornographers / Ride vs Ariel Pink
Saturday -> Mujeres, Younghusband, Mourn, quick look at Lennon's son and hot girlfriend, The Vaselines, Foxygen, Interpol, The Strokes, Thee Oh Sees Worst clashes: Foxygen vs DIIV / Unknown Mortal Orchestra vs Interpol
Don't really care about either Jungle and Alt-J so I don't think I'll remain that late there. From all of those I have only previously seen 3 and Saturday looks like the best festival day ever.

Well I'll do a short review then. A year with, apart from Ride, the Replacements and Spiritualized, no must see bands for me. So my highlights:
Ride - Never realized how much oh-ohs and ah-ahs they have. Sound should've been harder, setlist could've been better, but all in all it was Ride doing songs that you love. Its just fantastic to see them walk on stage and burst into "leave them all behind" innit? 8/10
Tony Allen - Don't know why this was at the auditorium, but despite that they had the whole room standing up and dancing after the 2nd song. Tight and groovy band playing funky shit, with Allen kind of being in the background. Surprise of the weekend. Primavera really needs more stuff like this. 9/10
Replacements - What struck me the most was that the band were so happy and enthusiastic to be there. Setlist wasnt that great though. Still managed to mong around for the best part of the gig. 7/10
Spiritualized - Id never seen them/him and didnt know what to expect, but to me it was all very alright, but tame. Was happy (and expecting) he'd closed with a Spacemen 3 number, but left me wanting for more of that kinda thing. Still, better than Swans, probably. 7/10
Benjamin Booker - Bit of a positive surprise. I liked the record, but it's as shockingly MOR as Noel. Then he also had a shitty slot, right before the Replacements, but fair enough, he gave it all. Crowd seemed to love it as well. Musically exactly where I'm at home, he's got a bit of Bolan, bit of Bo Diddley, bit of the Faces and is just a top bloke. Great singer too. 8/10
Then DIIV - Hipster shits playing half of their new album, which all sounded like soft, lukewarm, boring shit. the older songs didnt sound much like the album either. Setlist lasted about 40 minutes, you can imagine they gave it their all. Unfortunately they werent blown into the mediterraenean. So 4/10
And, while on disappointments, the Sunday,I did miss Hookworms (on at 3 in the night) and later heard that they were brilliant, so that sucked. was already at the hostel at that point cos i felt earlier i was getting the shits (i wasnt wrong) during the strokes. Therefore i cant really comment on the strokes either, other than that the first few songs were...
As for the remaining stuff... Off the top of my mind the first thing that comes up is The Soft Moon. VEry same-y, couldnt tell you which songs they played, but it worked very well. Nice slot at 4.00 on Adidas stage.
Andrew Weatheralls set was great too, but i couldnt specify.
Sleaford Mods i still dont udnerstand anything about, and ive no idea how theyve managed to become a thing.

Prima nearly always has a smattering of Afrofunk/Afrojazz. Usually on the outdoor auditorium stage (forget who sponsors it now). Seen Femi Kuti last year, Tinariwen the year before

The rocket will take off in less than one hour (apparently some people have been nearly 24h looking at it ) LCD, Radiohead and PJ Harvey might be the headliners

I can't go this year (gutted) but the barcelona line up is the best i've known at Prima I think. If I was going, i'd be sure to try and see:
Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey, Sigur Rós, Brian Wilson (performing Pet Sounds), Ty Segall and the Muggers, Julia Holter, Vince Staples, Explosions in the Sky, Dinosaur Jr., Deerhunter, Kamasi Washington, Thee Oh Sees, Holly Herndon, Parquet Courts, Shellac, Floating Points, Freddie Gibbs, Jenny Hval, Car Seat Headrest, Wild Nothing, White Fence.

I think it's an amazing lineup, but it doesn't tick my boxes as much as last year or on 2013. I've already seen PJ, Deerhunter, Black Lips, Tame Impala, Thee Oh Sees, Richard Hawley or Beirut.
Kamasi and Brian are two of the biggest things I'll miss if I end up not going. Then Ty, Royal Headache, Destroyer, Parquet Courts, Shadow Puppets, Suede, Dinosaur, Goat, Carpenter... And probably more names I don't even know right now
Fair play Radiohead and LCD are two big names, just I don't really care that much about them.

Not arsed about any of the headliners, but Wild Nothing, White Fence, Loop, Northern Uproar, Black Lips... could be worse.

I'm in for Porto: Brian Wilson, PJ Harvey, Deerhunter, Ty, Royal Headache, Destroyer, Parquet Courts, Dinosaur Jr...
They say the place is beautiful and it's all less packed and more relaxed than Primavera
