7th frame of Williams V Stevens was one of the strangest I've ever seen. At this rate, if both players fell in a barrel of tits they'd come out sucking their thumbs.

robertson's to lose imo, but i feel that way about every tournament because he's the best in the world for me.
ronnie has made some big breaks but also a lot of mistakes and against more in form players (stevens was awful) he'll come unstuck unless he improves.
trump and murphy next in line, both looking solid. ding could be a threat too if he overcomes his lousy form and crippling instinct to choke at the crucible. mcgill has had a strong first two rounds but it's probably too soon for him. don't see hawkins or bingham winning it.

^ Pretty much agree with that.
Really interested to see more of Mcgill. I didn't see the full match, but from what I saw Selby didn't even play that badly, Mcgill just outclassed him on the day.

well, pretty interesting first sessions in the QFs.
ronnie pretty much as i said, still banging in the centuries but now his mistakes are being punished, will need to sharpen up.
the thunder was totally shut out by hawkins in the last four frames of their one. incredible stuff, something like 450 unanswered points. still fancy him to win it reasonably comfortably in the end though.
mcgill continues to look the real deal and showing good maturity, that match is really nicely poised but godsquad is still looking good and i think he'll come through.
trump was in devastating form, looked like he could pot everything and was basically putting the cue ball where he wanted by hand, amazing stuff. so good that i think he could have some cause to be a bit disappointed only being 6-2 up, could easily have been 8-0 and match over.

the holy one comes good, he's got a great chance to make the final the way he's playing.
if ronnie does get through this match he's gonna get DESTROYED by trump the way he's playing at the moment.

The second best bald basildon motherfucker on the manor.
He's a face on the local poker scene. My mate plays with him quite a lot and has his mobile number.
Geezer.

hope bingham can kick on from yesterday and take down trump. his reaction after beating ronnie was truly heartwarming.
i've tried to like trump, i really have. i love the way he plays, and think the sport needs a truly incendiary young talent like him*, but he's just such a classless prick around the table. and the final straw is now that he seems to have replaced his natural bristol twang with some weird forced phoneshop wigger voice, it's embarrassing.
*of the others in that kind of group, ding is a bottler at the top level, allen hasn't kicked on like he should've and michael white is still developing. mcgill looks like he should be smashing into the top 16 soon enough though, so fingers crossed there.
