Wow, that isn't totally shit, it's nothing special, but its not embarrassingly shit. Decent but I like "Do You Wanna Get High" more. "Thank God For Girls" is rank.

Don't think The Coral song is bad by any means tbh, I'd say it sounds fresher than anything they've released in 10 years. It's not really good either though

Found my first truly enjoyable album of the year (excluding Bowie, of course) It's on Exy if anyone wants to take it for spin.

Really enjoy that new Ty Segall record. Always found him a little hit or miss for my taste but this is right down my street.
Have recently downloaded Savages, Adrian Younge, Fire!, Fat White Family, Brooke Waggoner, Tindersticks & Eleanor Friedberger so after a quiet couple of weeks 2016 is taking off.

DIIV just grows and grows. I was saying a few weeks a go I thought it was going to be too long with 17 tracks, but I find myself wanting more.

I'm really enjoying the new Field Music record. They're a band I've been wanting to check out for ages and just never got round to it, a couple of friends are into them. They've been playing the new single a fair bit on 6 music and it's really good, so I was looking forward to the album and it's great, odd and jittery structures, but hooky as fuck.
And finally liking a Ty Segall record, I've tried many times with him and it's just never fully clicked, I thought the Goodbye Bread album was okish from a few years back, but I've always found a certain detachment from his stuff, but this new album has hit me. Should probably go back and give his other stuff a go once I've spent some more time with this new one.
Enjoying the Fat Whites record too, took a few listens, but it's sunk in now. There is a certain grotesque insincerity about them, but at the same time, I like what they do and this album is a step in the right direction for them.

Was looking forward to spending some time with Ty Segall album today but it's not on Spotify and I'm at work. Oh well.
I should really try Fat White Family. Hear their name a lot but never got round to them.
Anyone listened to the new one from Savages yet?

Re Fat Whites, they won't be to everyone's taste, just heard the popular forum member, Karl Mahoney, isn't keen on the record, but I like it.

Karl Mahoney and Kevin KBurg- Welcome, finally, to the world of Ty Segall.
I've not heard the new record yet, but i'm confident I won't be disappointed.
Kev- 'Melted' is a place a lot of people go first. 'Twins' and 'Manipulator' (the last two) were veering away from the lo-fi sound, and for me were better for it. In fact, I think Manipulator is a near perfect guitar record.
Live, he's as good as it gets. He's playing Prima so I'm hoping we'll see him in TCOTU again before the summer's out.
