I know, I don't understand it myself. Just tryin' to see if somebody else in the world besides them & me feels the same

New Raveonettes album this year, sort of:
"Every month throughout 2016, we'll be dropping a freshly recorded track. We're creating an 'anti-album,’ - taking you on a 12-month expedition, potentially schizophrenic and disjointed, potentially cohesive and related."

the new saul williams is really good. must admit i'd forgotten all about him after quite enjoying his self titled album about 12 years ago with the brilliant grippo on it. will have to check out his output from then and now.

Finally got round to the Ty Segall record and after 3 spins, loving it. Quite different to previous stuff and deffo rewards repeated listens.

New Night Beats leaked, it's getting good reviews and Robert Levon Been has helped on it. Truth is I never really cared much about them and halfway through this one don't really think it's particularly special either.

Africa Express presents....Terry Riley in C Mali
If there's a prettier album released this year I'll be astonished. An utterly beautiful listen. 'Pretty' isn't a word I'd usually use to describe African music, but if you listen you'll know what I mean. It's on Spotify (one 40 minute track)

The debut single from one of my favourite Glasgow bands, Catholic Action, is out. I reckon a lot of Soapboxers will love it. soundcloud.com/catholic-action/luv-1Reminder: this is the band Blain was desperate to see - only to arrive at the venue 24 hours too early

I'm a total fanboy, but that's only one of about a dozen great pop songs they already have in the bank.

Yeah, I like it. But I hope the album isn't just 10 variations of it.

Anderson.Paak's Malibu on first listen sounded superb. A great blend of neo-soul, RNB & hip-hop.
