I still buy Uncut whenever I've got to travel for a few hours. The review section is always quite good. Just a shame they can't do big spreads about artists that are still relevant instead of rehashing the same old shit about Dylan and the Beatles. THIS MONTH IN UNCUT: BOB DYLAN - PLANET WAVES: THE GREATEST ALBUM EVER MADE? GEORGE HARRISON - MAKING SENSE OF THE 1974 TOUR BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - WE DON'T GET ANY OF THE REFERENCES ON ACCOUNT OF WE'RE BRITISH BUT HE'S STILL AWESOME and our cover story: THE WHO - THEY'RE STILL A THING! 1,346 ALBUM REVIEWS, INCLUDING THE FIVE-STAR NEIL YOUNG RE-RELEASE! PLUS - FREE CD: THE ROOTS OF JETHRO TULL! 15 FLUTE SONGS THAT WILL FILL YOUR AQUALUNG UNCUT: WHERE IT'S ALL 1978 ALL THE TIME!

1 minute into the new Coldplay. So far I'd say it's definte top 3 material. Though I've just moved some plantpots from upstairs into the hallway, so it might be that I'm in the right mood.

Glad to see this place is still going (albeit on life support).
Just confirming my intention of posting a end of year list, although if last.fm is correct, this will be my worst year of music listening since I signed up to it so I don't think i'll be able to do a top 50 or anything.

one album that seems to pop up in every list is Bjork- Vulnicura. Gonna have to give it a listen.
I love this time of year so much- I discover more great new music in the last few weeks of the month, based on end of year lists, than the rest of the year put together it seems.

was thinking that exact same thought earlier today actually. I bet old man Mahoney hates him too how fucking DARE you. I can take this kind of shit from Barny or SRK, but a PART-TIMER like yourself?? You come galloping back once a year with the promise of an end of year list and then abandon us soon after, leaving us with another 11 months of Murphy's political views. I've been up since 4:30am on a Sunday morning making sure my end of year list is as POWERFUL as possible because I fucking mean it man. I really wasn't keen on Kendrick's record at first But I have since gotten into it in a big way and it will feature HIGH on my iconic end of year list! & yeah, give the new charlatans record a go, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
