Andy and Gem were awful really, simply yes men to Noel and that's why it turned so bad after they joined - yet ironically they still given songs on the albums which were atrocious. They should actually have stood up to Noel and admitted their songs were diabolical and left the bros to it. I bet both said nowt in the studio apart telling Noel how great it all sounded. Bonehead wouldn't have stood for it, it'd be 'Noel, that's fucking shite so start again or change it around' then after a slap his advice would be taken. Guigsy, meanwhile, was most likely too stoned to follow orders.

Very ironic indeed sully
The fact that Noel allowed them to both contribute songs is a mystery we may never uncover, Noel being the colonel gaddafi of music and all.

I vowed I'd never play Heathen Chemistry again but had a quick listen of that tune on yeeeewtube and it really is a shocker, possibly the worst they ever did. Arguably Liam's worst vocals as well, he sounds like he's being strangled by the balls while jetlagged with the worst hangover ever. Andy's lager tops must seriously have been strong that night. I offer "Keep the dream alive". (I don't mind "Hung in a bad place", TBH.)

He's the worst member that was ever involved with Oasis. He's absolutely shite at everything. He seems like a sweet guy, but was always, like, the most easily impressed man in music. I can't recall if it was his reaction to Stop Crying Your Heart Out, or Stop The Clocks, but there was a clip where he recounted how he was eyes-wide blown away by what was no more than a middling ballad.

Fuck, how I wish it was an Oasis song sung by Liam... I thought it might overstay its welcome but for now it isn't (I've had just a couple listens, might). Loving those Ramones-like horns, the backing uh-uhs and the flute.
Is that Chris Sharrock?

with liam on vocals, this would be great. unfortunately, noel is one of the dullest vocalists in history so the tune is DOA.

I've warmed to it a fair bit. Noel's voice isn't quite so grating cos it's not the most prominent thing in the mix.
Still prefer Wall of Glass as a lead single mind.

Isn't that just the Shock of the Lightning video set to a different song?

It's a tune, eddie is proof.
God awful shirt though. I miss the days of when he actually looked cool.

The song is top 10 oasis with Liam on vocals.
Easily, and I mean easily.
The “come on” bits are fucking flawless

Sotsog’s brief brilliance was a step in the right direction. All oasis albums post sotsog we’re lazy and contrived. Noel’s first two solo albums were naturally safe, he needed to secure the arena safety net. And now ladies and gentleman.... EVOLVED NOEL IS HERE, THE CHAMP IS HERE. THE CHAMP IS HERE, BY GOD THE CHAMP IS HERE.

Yeah, the first time I heard it, I hated it. Now, it's grown on me...certainly an earworm song.
