i think its the right decision for leicester. i seem to be in the minority amongst my mates with this but i've been saying it for a month or so now. obviously what he achieved last season was incredible but there's no room for sentimentality. the way they were going they were dead certs for relegation this season in my book whereas now depending on who the appoint, i'd imagine they'll stand a good chance of staying up. with most of the other teams at the bottom of the table starting to pick up points it had to happen.

I probably would have given him until the return leg against sevilla, but I'm a softie at heart.

People saying it's the right 'footballing decision' have been and truly suckered into the plastic show biz top flight it's now become. The right footballing decision is to stand by a manager and show loyalty who has delivered you the fucking premier league from being relegation candidates! Have they actually been in the bottom three this season? I think not. A few decent results and they'd be mid table again. I didn't even care too much either way if they go down (but hope so now) but the love and faith in football is dwindling every day in my head. I'll continue to watch games for the enjoyment of the game itself but I refuse to pay to enter any football ground with things as they are. Never has it been more morally correct to be an armchair supporter and it's the best protest possible. If only other mugs would follow suit. Football is a game run by toffs, corrupts twats and owners who don't care a jot other than £ (like Leicesters') so why 'support' it. I've stopped being loyal to football since it stopped being loyal in general. And why would anybody want to aspire to be a football manager after Ranieri's sacking? Soul-destroying. Fucking owners!! Anyway as I said I'm not too fussed about Leicester (   )

i dont see how not wanting your team to be relegated is being suckered into plastic showbiz.

ranieri made one of the greatest achievements in footballing history last season and will go down in history as a club legend at leicester. this season however they were in real danger of being relegated, bottom of the form table with 1 point in their last 6 matches and having not scored a league goal this calendar year. ranieri has no real experience of being in a relegation scrap either so again had i been a leicester fan this would have concerned me further.

i realise i'm massively in the minority here but i completely understand why this decision was made and if i was a leicester fan i'd be fully behind it, as sad as the situation is.

If he had went on to take Leicester through vs Sevilla then morale in the team would've sky rocketed and they could've carried the momentum into the league.  After what he did for the club last season, he deserved at least another couple of games at the helm.

yes it's the right business decision. no, i don't support it one bit. if football is that keen to jettison romance, then that is its prerogative, doesn't mean that's it's not a grimly fucking pathetic state of affairs. it's got us talking like fucking shareholders instead of fans.
