I seem to remember those in the know used to claim this was a superior performance to Knebworth. The latter certainly wasn't perfect, with Liam seemingly doing an impression of himself, but if this is an indication of how Loch Lomond actually sounded... It's fucking shit Has any other footage surfaced? No wonder they kept it hidden

I wasn't taking about audience recordings Murph. It's 2018. No one gives a fuck. Mahoney isn't going to swap you a CDR.

Was it you or Ross Forgens cdr’s that smelt funny? Both. Columbia_rocks_man's mostly smelt of stale weed, while Forgan's reeked of failure to bang SexyKat.

Heard this was where hehe started out and had his first ever Ribena stall. For a local lad there's no better story. Fair to say he captured the kids' thirst just like the band in question. You just knew he'd brought it on home when the Liam-wannabes started chanting 'stick your Vimto up your arse' just before Some Might Say kicked in. A truly special day.

I went to this, sprained my ankle climbing a fence the day before the gigs to watch the band soundcheck (they basically ran through the whole set) had a ticket for the saturday, watched from the hill on the other side of the fence with crates of ale. A load of us got the train to Balloch with not a clue where we'd camp, we're walking the streets and some farmers had decided to find campers to start a site off in one of their fields, as we were first they said we could pitch up for something absurdly cheap like £2 a head, so passing cars would see tents. we went for a stroll and a pint (where the landlady was saying the gig might be cancelled cos the fella died), bumped into bonehead, watched the soundcheck, I limped back to the campsite that was by that time full of glaswegians all off their heads on cheap speed. Heavy weekend.

Heavy weekend. Amazing. Balloch, despite being in such a scenic location, is an absolute shithole. The locals are rough. But everyone who I know who was at the gig seemed to have an amazing time. Hard to think of a comparable gig being held there now. I think R.E.M. was the last major show on the same site.

Heavy weekend. Sounded amazing. Imagine just pitching a tent in a field for a couple of quid then scaling a wall to watch Oasis soundcheck in their prime. Farmer don't give a fuck, security don't a fuck, man don't give a fuck. Proper. What we have now is Glastonbury with your itinerary designated through a microchip. Dire. Cotton Clouds is a couple of fields away from me this weekend. It's a travesty of a lineup but I'm gonna sneak my way in for the craic. Should be a laugh scaling an army of sheep and two cows to see Starsailor and Toploader. The Coral played last year tbf, but still, £70

A lot of my post is tongue in cheek and just preference to my tastes, but your general hatred of anyone who seemingly thinks differently or prefers to live a another life is rather worrying. Has it occurred to you some people may just not enjoy the hustle and bustle of a festival? Let alone the prices and the fact every lineup is about 25% decent. I'd rather spunk the money on a holiday instead from here on in.

Bullyboy-wannabe Ekotto turned up, that's why. Every post he's after me. Poor lad needs to escape the city to freshen his head.
