I'm pretty burnt out on psychedelic-rock but anyone still craving that sort of Jonestown type sound I just had a flick through this on youtube and it sounds alright Gave this a listen last week, sounded good at the time but I don't remember any of it now, doubt I'll give it a second listen. They've the most cliched neo-psych band name ever as well. Im sure there is a thread for older albums you've only discovered this year, but I'm in here now and I can't be arsed looking for said thread so I'm just gonna say I'm digging 'Packs' by Your Old Droog. Discovered it listening to Romesh Ranganathan's 'Hip Hop Saved My Life' podcast which is an absolute gold mine for discovering records I'd never heard before.

Ha I wouldn’t even know where to begin when it comes to getting an album on Spotify. I mean it must be possible as plenty of unsigned Scottish bands (the kind Barny hates me promoting) I like have ended up there.
There are some glaring holes on Spotify, I’ll admit, especially if you’re cool and alternative like us, Karl. Loads of small label stuff from pre-2005 isn’t up there. There’s not a single Yummy Fur song, ffs. The last MBV album isn’t up there either.
But I think it’s getting better. I’d just take it for granted now that a band like Savage Mansion would have their debut album up.

I’m a creature of habit and routine chrissie. I can’t let go of my iTunes library. I’m still waiting for stockport lad to send me those rare the music demos

Have you recently faced a computer change? How do you deal with that? Do you move all your files and library at the same time? Serious question

Spotify is perfect for me. Very rarely do I have a problem finding what I want. Having said that, they don't have GBV's Class Clown Spots UFO.

So the actual music is all stored on a 4TB Hard drive. I also have it backed up on another. That way the only thing u need is the iTunes folder on the pc which also needs backing up every once in a while.
I have actually thought about changing over, I’ll be like the last old lady refusing to leave her flat that’s due to be demolished.
Chrisse, Kev tells me for £20 a company will put all your music onto all the major streaming and download platforms

Looking at that though, seems you need a $72 a year subscription with Soundcloud. Fuck it, Ditto music costs £20 a year and they do all the shit for you.

Chrisse, Kev tells me for £20 a company will put all your music onto all the major streaming and download platforms Yeah I diligently kept a music collection of downloaded stuff going until fairly recently, which involved FLACs played through my sound system on my PC and also a mirror library of MP3's through itunes for mobile use through my phone. It just became such hard work to keep going though and with Tidal and Spotify having very comprehensive libraries these days, it was a no brainer to move to streaming. Still feel sad about not maintaining a library that I 'own' but it all honesty it's just fucking data. Whether it's stored on your computer / phone or streamed through the internet really doesn't make any difference when you actually think about it.

Which is your most recent purchase? By release date, if it is Greta then tell your second one.

Loved the new Sleaford Mods LP on first listen. Particularly enjoyed Jason describing Graham Coxon looking like ‘a left wing Boris Johnson’. But agree the album is title is hackneyed bollocks

Yeah I thought Jason seemed to have a bit of fire back in his belly lyrically this time. Some great lines.
