The new WalkMEN is on btjunkie, it's called Lisbon, I will listen to it shortly and write my obviously non-biased review (I adore this band and everything they've put out, it is going to be so biased lol)
Speaking of non-biased reviews, the new B&S is pretty decent. A couple of songs are up their past days standards, I think. I'd still love to punch Stuart Murdoch tho, cunt.

I can't get into The Walkmen at all tbh, they seem to be doing the same album over and over again and getting praise for that... I like you, barny, but I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. Their first albums have a 'heavier' (tho not too heavy) sound, You & Me's sound is very grim and moody and pretty and say, Canadian Girl is completely different from The Rat, for instance (almost like if they were 2 different bands with the same singer); they've always been kinda dark, if you know what I mean, but it does not sound the same over and over. But that's just what I think, I adore them. Anyway my download is super slow, can't wait to hear this latest one. |
