Hell yeah! I've been waiting for this. Very strange that a band would release something in 2013 months before in Japan when it can be so easily leaked but hey I'm glad it's here.

Steve, where do you hear about leaks from these days? I'm down to just exystence.net/ which is good but doesn't bother with a lot of genres especially Hip-Hop. Racists.

a few sites I've been using lately... Exystence.net Newalbumreleases.net ripblog.net (I just found out about this one recently.. where ringo deathstarr came from) nodata.tv www.rlsbb.com/category/music/ (not a lot of quality stuff on this ... but sometimes you'll find something turtleed that catches your eye)

Thanks Steve, yeah I just googled and found the Ringo link from ripblog.
Ringo, Temples, Pixies & Mogwai isn't a bad start for five days into the year.

I listened it and it's quite alright. A bit of a missed opportuninty though, as each song on its own seems greatly crafted but it all ends being a little bland and repetitive. Will give more spins though.

Repetitive as in a lot of the same kind of stuff? I'm gonna wait lsitening to it til I get it. Also, Noel likes them...

Heard it for the first time today, wasn't very impressed. To me it sounded like if Kasabian decided to sound like Jacco Gardner. Not bad but this kind of thing doesn't interest me any longer unless it's really done well & this wasn't anything special to my ears.

But I'd say "it's really done well" and that's one of its problems, it should be more chaotic imo. It sounds exactly like it's suposed to.

I understand where you are coming from but I disagree because for me, sticking to the formula & offering nothing to the table - whilst being unable to make anything memorable isn't doing something well.

Is the Jacco Gardner record worth a listen then Karl? Don't think I've seen it mentioned before.

Wasn't my thing tbh but I could understand why people like it. His songs are lush sounding psych-=pop, very Syd Barrett kind of deal.

The opening track is horrific. It sounds like AC/DC, performed by Jet. I do like a couple of tracks on there though. Same as the first EP which I thought was 50% good. Hopefully if they release the 4 EP's like they planned on doing there will be an albums worth of good material.
