TBH, the notion that peoples end of year lists should be a 50/50 split is kinda ridiculous when the major labels and even the majority of independents have nowhere near a 50/50 gender split with their artists. The majority of people will only hear what they're exposed to, thankfully the industry is starting to wake up and realise people do want to hear female artists and can make money from it. Hopefully it continues, we shall see. Tuckers post was a positive thing, rather than something that should be mocked. It is a reflection of a changing industry, rather than a reflection of Tuckers listening habits. I'm pretty sure nobody on here thinks twice about listening to an artist or a band due to gender so there's no point getting into a dick swinging contest about these issues. Maybe in 10/20 years time everyone's lists will be 50/50.

I started doing it before finishing, resulting in some wrong orders and losing count of it once having to sacrifice Varshons II which was initially appearing. |
