Ok, different thread cos I don't feel like flooding the lists one. Hopefully this will go on slowly but surely for a few weeks, even if I release the whole list soon. I'd like to show a bit more of gratitude towards all these records that stayed with me, through all kinds of moments, during what was a defining decade if my life. More of an internal useless process than an outwards vanity one, if it makes sense... 100. Phoenix - Ti Amo (2017, #23)From its original 23rd position on my 2017 list, I've been slowly seduced by this unworried, serenely uplifting work and found myself coming back to it. A satin gloved punch as response to Brexit and the Bataclan terror. Wine-smelling, icecream-naming, it can be seen as too hedonistic, superficial, aristocratish. But I prefer to look at it as the soft ode to an idealized country, a celebration of a way of life (Italian/Mediterranean/European) or just a toast to life. Lively it is, and livelier live.

I reckon he will get to about 85 before thinking fuck this and just posting the list in full without comment.

Yep, looks promising I was trying to write something for my #99 pick, then realized I might prefer another record I discarded, my brain short-circuited and here we are.

New strategy to save it: no order. I'll write about whatever, whenever, we're meant to be together Shakira would not make my 200xs list 49 .- Japanese Breakfast - Psychopomp (2016, #7) The only thing against this I can say is the length, it’s simply too short to gain a higher spot on my list, but it’s one of those records I genuinely love every time it’s on. The production is amazing for a lofi record, specially the way it suits the needs of each song. The initial lyrics of 'In Heaven' are devastating, it breaks my heart everytime I hear it. Then 'Everybody Wants To Love You' sounds so cheery. Truth is the record is at least as sad as this thread (before this surprising resumption)

15 .- Crocodiles - Sleep Forever (2010, #3)Ah… if Crocodiles were British this would be considered a classic. Krautrock + surf + shoegaze with Suicide undertones and taking from Britpop brilliant ideas like having some songs bigger than life (Mirrors, title track, Hearts of Love). I’ll never forgive them not making the coda of ..Hexes.. something bigger though.

Yeah big fan of that Crocodiles lp Barny. First couple of albums were amazing but they've gone a bit forgettable with the last ones.

Never got into Crocodiles much. Spent a bit of time with their debut over the last few days and really like it.

I really enjoy them obviously, all their albums have at least 2 or 3 jewels.
The highlight of my short-lived, terrible band was when jp (in 2010?) told a song of ours sounded like early Crocodiles
