Before Tucker moved or deleted Para's post yesterday, Para raised a valid question regarding the name Yellow Peril by asking if it is a racist reference, and the answer is yes, yes it is. Though In my defence, I wasn't using the term in such sinister ways. British TV viewers will know of the famous Only Fools & Horses episode The Yellow Peril, well at work a (at the time) young chap bought a hideous bright yellow sports car which he would give us lifts to football/the pub in which became known as the Yellow Peril due to the trotters bright yellow Reliant Regal van. When I made my first music I threw a yousendit link onto blogspot & put next to it "yellow peril records" as a little joke for the few people at work who would see it. Then JamesDCody made a dance record & said he wanted it on Yellow Peril & just from then on it just became known as that. As time went on I did wonder if people would wonder why I had named the record label after a derogatory term & did think about starting a new bandcamp, though nobody had ever actually said anything up until Para yesterday, so I just let it be. Well, yesterday I realised it was as easy as just changing your username on here So I've renamed it Turning Tide Records, a reference to the wonderful Super Furry Animals tune. When I first used Yellow Peril I didn't expect to still be making music years later and have people listening as far out as Russia & Dartford as well as artists such as The Vanilla Shiznit & Brad Johnson calling it their home. So Para, I thank you for bringing this up, apart from having to re-do the logo the process was painless. Now you can all reply below calling me a sellout, a racist & a cunt. Here is the Yellow Peril, it didn't last long. He kept driving like a twat in it and had to have the brake pads replaced every few months & then realised the insurance was too much. New home address turningtiderecords.bandcamp.com

Nice And para's post was moved to the Film/TV/Gaming section. I know who did it but I don't know why they commit such a heinous act. I guess only barny will be able to tell you that.

FFS now you say it. Bat Chain Records (a beefheart ref) was another idea. I made this big decision today and now you've put the seeds of doubt into my mind.

Recorded a couple of live improvisational noise pieces with my other half over the past couple of weekends, mostly due to boredom. Probably more fun to make than for anyone to listen to, but either way here they are. The first was recorded using pretty much every instrument I have in the house. The second was made entirely with various phone/tablet apps. Though I'm working on a proper record now & I'm really excited about what I've come up with so far. Been using some unused pieces of poetry for lyrics, musically it's all over the place which I think the best stuff I've done has always been. Anyway, if you want something to send you to sleep and give you nightmares this'll do nicely. Otherwise just wait until the next hit album to come along Live from the Isolation Chamber1. Paranoia = Awareness 16:39 2. The Barbiturate Solution 12:34batchainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/live-from-the-isolation-chamber

hahah you're welcome; it's incredible how the racist connotation didn't cause backlash from fans all this time; good thing you acted before cancel culture caught up; good luck to batchain records in this brave new world..
and damn that is one ugly renault

Kenji Minami & The Jesus Abyss - Collisions. 1. Foghorn 10:44 2. 71% of the Earth 04:39 3. Frequencies 07:15 4. Collisions 10:25 5. Cryptic Plumage 06:21 Collaboration I've done with a improvisational drummer. I took his drum pieces & tried to build soundscapes around them. Track 1 has got some bass via Krburg with one of his mates providing guitar - the last track has some bird noises captured by our very own Titch. batchainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/collisions
