They chose the wrong SAULT release, but isn't much in it tbh.

It’s...uhhh...going to have the same #1. Unless macca beats the odds and McCartney III is actually good.

I'm starting to find new releases from smaller bands or stuff such as a small release EP by someone from Of Montreal harder to find on Soulseek. For instance it took 2 weeks for the new Billy Childish album to turn up on there. I guess the more people that turn to spotify the less people will be sharing on there. It could be the beginning of the end.. like when steve left the soapbox Soulseek came through finally, 1 user. There's still hope for the world.

haha. TRU-FAX, years back when I was an internet novice, Karl Mahoney, also known as forum member ‘deleted’, posted me a CD-R with the early Bloc Party singles on it. Apropos of nothing, he also put the Space Monkeys album on it, so thanks for that.

Eddie Murphy sent me his CD copy of Parallel Lines in about 2002 because he had bought a deluxe version.

One month today until the end of year lists guys! I'm currently hard at work listening to everything I've enjoyed throughout the year. Will I sneak in a compilation & quit the board again? Tune in on the 15th to find out!

Real close shave this morning. Just discovered a great album released this year and it would have placed highly on my end of year list. Was just thinking about a rough provisional placing when I realised it was a....COMPILATION!!!

All lists are giving props to Untitled (Black Is). Quite rightly, it's a great record, but Untitled (Rise) is every bit as good, and I honestly think better. The former is very much on message for 2020, so perhaps that's influencing thinking (fair enough). Just heard Gilles Peterson on the radio say that Rise is equal of Black Is though, so I feel vindicated.
