yeah well, i'm gonna take a fit bird n it will be a good day out in TCOTU. She's never been to a gig before so I think she'll be blown away by KOL. i'm just gutted i could only get seated tickets.

i remember when i saw KOL at Hull Arena when they were touring after there 3rd album. Hull Arena is just an ice rink n fucking tiny! wherever you were you had a good view. and the tickets were easy to get as well.

I'm gan to see them at Sheffiled on the 19th December. Fucking disgrace the price of the tickets like but I've paid it for a good day out and of the back of how fucking great they were at Weston Park. They have been saying in the lead up to this new album that thye don't care about the money anymore as if they're pissed off with having loads of people at their gigs who only know one album and they've said they hate playing some of the songs of the last album. They also said that the new album is a mix of all of their albums so I'm hoping that Radioactive is no indication of the album. I don't hold much hope for it being that good like. It sounded ok live but the studio version is disgustingly terrible over the top shite and don't get me started on the video.

Going by the last album and this new song I'd be grateful for 2 or 3 great classic KOL songs on the new album. I'll still always love them for the first 3 albums though and i'll go and see them live because they'll play over half a set of them. We all know the stuff from the past 2 years has been shit but theres no getting away from the fact that they are one of the best bands from this last decade by an absolute mile. Possibly the best as far as the quality of their first 3 albums is.

I'm not even gonna bother watching that whole video, the black African kids running aboot in an African picnic and intro music was enough to make me BARF.

i heard this on the radio at work today, dj teased 'the new kings of leon song coming up soon" so i was like semi interested and then when it finished and she was like 'there you have it the great new kol track' i hadnt even realised that kings of leon had been on the radio, it was so generic. i didnt even realise ffs, and this is a band who used to have one of the most unique sounding singers in modern rock, and used to be one of my absolute favourites.
