The man who single-handedly killed Oasis for me.
He was hired to bring that level of guitar proficiency that Bonehead didn't have. Well, when did that happen? Because last time I checked, Oasis always sounded shit with him.
Bonehead wasn't technical but he had a well defined sound that intermingled perfectly with Noel's rustic lead guitar lines. Gem always sounded like a temporary replacement while they were looking to hire an actual guitarist.
He joined the band he idolised and destroyed it from the inside, like a tumor.
Oasis were much better off as a piano bar duo than with him in the band.
