Disappointing performance from Canada against Croatia. I had a good feeling we would get thumped! And that we did. I hate all the people who know nothing about football and came out and said we would destroy Croatia without even knowing how the finished last tournament. Pile of bellends.
On a side note. Davies did score but he has hardly played well in the two games. At points it's like he's trying to do too much - not sure if's the pressure of the World Cup or he knows agent/managers eyes are focused on the World Cup and he's looking for a big move eventually. I watched him multiple times in the Croatia game just let players go by him or he didn't get back and atleast try and defend. On the second goal (I think it was the second) he could have made a better effort to tackle and he just fucking gave up. THE CUNT.
He's absolutely trying to do too much. He had his moments, but I think the pressure of being THE MAN was too much for him. Our bigger problem was expecting that a two-man midfield of a clearly-injured Stephen Eustaqio and an 800-year old Atiba would somehow be enough to control Modric, Kovacic and Brozovic.
Nevertheless, despite being the 2nd team out, we've acquitted ourselves well against the (alleged) #2 team in the world, and the runners-up at the last WC. Get a result against Morocco and start preparing for the 1st game at BMO field in 2026.
