With a series high number of votes, 1993 finished on 3.5 stars putting the league table as follows...
1990 - 3.75
1993 - 3.5
1992 - 3.5
1991 - 3
Today we shall be discussing 1994!
The first thing that springs to mind when I think of 94 is always the USA World Cup. Roberto Baggio, Maradonna and Diana Ross are the main three individuals that come to mind and I reckon it was the first international tournament that I took properly seriously and remember watching every second of every game. Italia 90 and Euro 92 I definitely watched England and some of the other stuff but this time I was properly serious.
Music wise, Definitely Maybe, Crooked Rain Crooked Rain and His n Hers would be my top three albums. Loads of good hip hop again too with stuff like Ilmatic, The Beatnuts, The Main Ingridient and Ready to Die.
1994 was strong for films with Pulp Fiction, Clerks and Shawshank Redemption being my top three.
At the time I would have been 9 years old, still obsessed with wrestling even though it wasn't cool anymore and spending most of my time playing football for my local team and playing Super Kick Off on my Sega Master System. 94 feels a much stronger year than 93 to me so I am giving it a solid FOUR STARS.
