Bit naff that new Ride tune.
Mind you I nearly always think that with their new stuff then come around to loving it anyway.

Let's Go Dancing by Shed Seven is the tune of the year so far.
Lovely little touch with the "they always said that we'd chase the rainbow" lyric.

Really liked the Bill Ryder Jones lp on first listen.
Not sure about letting him near a children's choir though given our new Intel on him.

Very brave of him to go toe to toe with 'More Power' by Liam.
Was going to start with Kid Cudi but anything in the 1hr 4 minutes range can go fuck itself.

Listened to one song of the Sprints album and had to turn it off. Sounded like Idles wannabes.

Folly Group album out today too. They're bottom tier TCOTU post punk scene but I'll probably give it a go.

This would be a great addition. It is a pain in the arse going to 3-4 sites trying to colloate what is going on only to find out none have got the Sheds on them.

Yeah, I noticed that, thought wikipedia might be close to definitive but they don't list Shed Seven etc. so have to look elsewhere as well (Pitchfork, metacritic, Paste etc.)

I used to provide this service for some lads on what's app. The only one who appreciated my efforts kept quitting the group though and now has quit for good to sit on his own in a darkened room watching films for the rest of his days.

Are the films all black and white and Polish? I think I might know that person.

Any interest in a Spotify collaborative playlist? Basically anytime we find a new tune that we like you chuck it in there. Could be an easy way to discover new music for everyone?

I couldn't get it to add anything ("To add songs to a collaborative Spotify playlist, select the song you want to add. Then tap the three dots next to the download button and choose Add to playlist. From there, select the playlist you want to add the song to.)" Good idea though, was tried 8 years ago and a shame it was never followed up on after the first week it seems the-soapbox.net/thread/5672/soapbox-spotify

When I do that it says copy to clipboard. Maybe try making one Dunlop?
I feel the power of this 2024 thread will keep the soapbox thriving.

What a shock, Karl has ripped off Blain's idea and presented it as his own.
Next we will discover that owl on a skateboard is actually a rare The Vibe bside.
