What a weird year

Avid followers of my insta countdown (I'm guessing this is all of you) will be pleased to know we are now entering "the ladrock zone".

I'm hearing some murmurs of "too little, too late" in the Watsapp groups. Especially after the "balls up" with the placing of the Gaz Coombes album. Still, I guess we will still be checking tomorrow to see if things pick up.

I was expecting Noel but safe to say not pleasantly surprised. Not a vintage year so far, mate.

2024 is already looking much better. Shed Seven are coming out of the traps early doors with a January release to set the tone for the year.

King Gizzard electronic record WON'T feature my list, if only because I don't like the way it's been released. The short versions are a bit useless while the extended ones have their moments but could actually be trimmed a bit. A missed oportunity, I think with those same ingredients they could have created a more special album.

Not gonna lie, I've had to hit the "hide comment" button on the gram a lot today.

Mostly from weedy woke little men who don't understand the highs and lows of a relationship and think big Tom Meighan should be crucified because of a one off incident where his Mrs slipped into a hamster cage.

I've just had a comment from some randomer called "karenmorgan2859" who is quite possibly a bot employed by Tom to rebuild his reputation but Karen has made my day. She ends her post with this "I believe Tom has been pillored enough. His wife stood by him, it's a pity a lot of others didnt".

Guys, I think I've settled on a top 40. Still some shuffling around within that to be done, but I'm getting there.

Hearing some sad news that Krburg cannot be bothered to contribute this year "ohhh it has been a poor year" "I can't decide what number 1 would be" "I might just have 6 albums as joint number 1".

It's the god damn 12th guys, You lot better be putting in the kinda herculean effort that I am to get this list ready. A poor turn out for the end of year list and that could be it, FINISHED. After 20+ years of arguments about I Can See a Liar (still a fucking banger) the forum will just be the bots & Eddie Murphy.

Or maybe Eddie will deliver us a list & safe the 'box.

I knew he would do this. It hasn't been a poor year at all. It has been a poor year for privately educated young boys in talky post punk bands, that's all. It's not the soapys fault that's all Kev listens to!
