Maybe that is because all the prior seasons were epic. But I feel some serious shit is going to happen to our friend DD. I feel he is going to either turn into some sort of god mob-boss or he might lose everything.

I would have to let the series play out before I made a proper comparison to those two. And being on HBO gave them an advantage (full hour time slots instead 40 some minutes, censorship, etc.) but at this point I have no problem assuming it will be up there in my mind.

Mad Men is set in the 1960s, at the fictional Sterling Cooper advertising agency on Madison Avenue in New York City, The show centers on Don Draper (Jon Hamm), creative director at Sterling Cooper, as well as those in his life, both in and out of the office. Throughout it references changing social mores of 1960s America.
No politics, murder or legal bullshit. The stories are pretty much purely character and setting driven.
