It's £2.60 for an all-day ticket up here but it's not so much the price that's a cunt. Nearly all the drivers act like you've just walked into their house and sat down in front of their TV rather than got on the bus that they're paid to drive and that you've paid to get on. They're always late or don't turn up at all too. Worst business in the history of capitalism.

Worst business in the history of capitalism. arriva are geniuses, their all day bus tickets are £3.50, which is 20p more than the councils tickets that let you on the trains too. the two bus companies here also have the routes all carved up amongst themselves, so every bus going to say, kirkby is a stagecoach bus, whilst every bus going to bootle is arriva and so on, so they dont actually compete with each other at all. mercifully I live 2 mins from a train station and the train is cheaper than the bus.

My father works for Arriva Terrible cunts though and whoever invented the term soccerbus should catch aids its from merseyrail I think, you can get a bus to sandhills train station in the middle of nowhere and then theres a bus waiting to take you to goodison or anfield, though I dont think anyone uses the goodison one since there are no pubs by sandhills station anymore (its by the docks and all the houses round there have long been demolished) and goodison is about ten minute walk from a different station. can I have a badge for dullest soapbox post ever?

I would sell my families dearest possession for a train station in my town.

I thought there was all kinds of trains and a subway round glasgow? merseyrail is pretty good though theres a who section of the city that it completely ignores, and anfields one of those areas.

I live just outside Glasgow really, about a 15 minute drive. There's a train station in the village next to us but there's no regular bus service to there so that's no use. There's a bus to Glasgow every 9 minutes here but they're all Arriva so you're basically fucked.

NEARBY VILLAGE FFS. It's also a stupidly large village, they're clinging onto that one for all it's worth.

SERIOUS POSSIBILITY of there being no Merseyside clubs in the Premier League next season.
