Asteroid are touring? I need to see if they're coming here. Im there if they are. They're a really strong psychedelic band. Bit more "retro" than say Jonestown or The Black Angels, but they have some good material, but some filler too. Chatham Rise are not good, but it seems as if they're opening.

Mine are set as of now. I have a bunch more maybes + I have onsales for Gruff and Raphael Saadiq on Friday. You forgot your Beady Eye shows, bet welching prick!

As for your maybes: The Raveonettes and Tamaryn are both wonderful. They've got two gigs here and Id consider both, but theres other shows on the other day I want to see too, so just doing one.

Wye Oak are amazing. They released a great record recently (Civilian) and their first is top notch. You may want to listen first as I dont know if you'd dig it.

Pixies are always fantastic. BSP are also a good show.

I have no idea why you'd even consider Dokken unless you want to go see some milfs get their titties out in the crowd.

edit: Asteroid are playing here in Brooklyn on 4/21 but the venue is TBA. Not a good sign and a horrible date as theres so much on that day already. If its a late show, Id do it.

Yeah I had to do a double-take when I saw them listed, I listen to loads of psych these days but they never really tour, least not around here anyway. I'm really excited. I think Chatham Rise are decent, they're local guys anyway. And they're very first on the bill.

Think pixies is sold out or only seated tickets left, I want to go but it's in St. Paul, I don't think I want to drive 35 minutes to sit up in a seat by myself for $50, but we'll see if i can get someone to hop along and find some floor tickets.

Asteroid 4 have been pretty damn good the times I've seen them. Never translate very well onto record though.

Aye i've never really listened to BSP but think i should based on the pure amount of praise they get on here.

Black Joe is a probable, seen him a few times already and always enjoyed it. Raveonettes never seen but they're quality.

Pixies depends on if i can get a floor ticket for something other then like $80 and a friend to go with me as it's a bit of a drive the venue.

BSP are fucking fantastic. Im stoked that they're playing what is effectively my local. Only drag is that its a Monday night.

We should do a meet up for the the Black Keys show bro. Definitely looking forward to that show.

Is there anything interesting going on in TCOTU or the environs the week of the FA Cup final? If I'm going, I want to mix at least 1-2 good gigs in as well.
