The Black Angels twice more in July love them so damn much. First show is at what is effectively my local venue in that I can walk to it and its about the size of my living room. I saw BSP there a few months ago. The 2nd show is a free fuck-all festival thing the next day. Needless to say, Im 10x more psyched about the first gig. Cannot fucking wait. 7/15 and 7/16

How was your TSOOL show, Ben? Ours was shambolic glory. Their roadies screwed so much up, you'd swear it was their first day. Also, Ebbott may have been losing his voice. Nonetheless, epic, epic show.

Nonetheless, epic, epic show. I missed most of it as they wouldnt allow me re-entry I moaned to the manager and they're giving me free tickets to another show of my choice. The guys who wouldnt allow me re were new and with a different security company than they normally use because it was on a Sunday. Themis went to it and also went last night (I didnt go last night) and said they were great and played 30 something songs. He's a fan of theirs though, Im far more casual. The opening act were fucking horrendous though. "The Mommyheads". Eat shit and die shitty band.

Yeah, they were on first in toronto, only saw their last song and I was preoccupied with getting beer, so I can't really comment about them one way or the other. The 2nd support act was 'elephant stone' from montreal, who I can only describe as a shit cornershop, straight down to the indian lead singer playing a sitar on several tunes.

Yea The Mommyheads were the only opener at the show I went to, and Elephant Stone were the opener last night which I did not attend. Went and saw Submarine instead.

FIELD'S DAY and The National in August, that's about it. Oh, and my obligatory (and final) Bluetones gig in Glasgow in September.

T In The Park this Thursday. Theres a few bands I want to see who i havent seen yet but the band that excites me the most is a band ive seen twice in the past 3 weeks.
Fuck me, if they play this my life will be made. Just announced a gig for Brixton at the end of August as well. Very tempted but im probably gonna hold out and see if they announce a proper tour. Im not convinced they are back for the long haul though so need to make the most of them now.
Anyway looking at the lineup at the probably clashes im probably gonna see
Friday: Arctic Monkeys, and whoever anyone else wants to see
Saturday: Primal Scream (wouldnt mind seeing Coldplay for the first time but the Scream blew me away at Glastonbury), The Strokes, Ocean Colour Scene, Manics, The Streets (seems they are playing early?)
Sunday: Foo Fighters, Pulp, The Vaccines, Blondie, Cast
Gutted to be missing Beady Eye but they look like they're clashing with Pulp. Fucking bastards. Should be on before Pulp.

Pulp have just announced a date at Brixton August 31st. I can't go as I'll be in Alaska but everyone who hasnt seen them yet has to fucking go. Surprised by how little talk there's been of their triumphant reunion gigs, Coleman aside. They were brilliant again at Wireless last night.
