Well folks hopefully in 2011 we'll have a new album from one of my fav bands of all time. I can still remember hearing Is This It? and just falling in love with the sound of it. I really hope this forthcoming album is something special!
Oh yeah I've been recently watching some vids of them live from 2010 and they still look cool as fuck... what a band.
I should mention what are you hopes for the album? Anybody looking for a repeat for the 3rd album? I do like it but I find it a bit long in parts.. or are we hoping they really turn it up with someone different this time around. I find it odd that they didn't atleast try out a few new tunes at their recent gigs.
They still got it.

I'm hoping for Nick Valensi to have gotten a haircut and stopped looking like a gypsy.
Also, more I'll Try Anything Once's.

Well what confuses me is that Jules said they pretty much got back together to play gigs cause they'd ran out of money. Weren't they all prep-school-rich kids to begin with? Sounds pretty weird to me.

saw them in San Fran in Aug, they are better than ever. Nick Valensi looked bored as fuck playing the old stuff, mind you. What has he done since 2006 anyways? Everyone else has been releasing solo material....but they are gonna get bigger i have feeling.

Hopefully it's not a money thing tbh (them only playing shows cause they're broke)..although I can't really see any of them being broke.
I'm pretty nervous though over what's going to happen, I really thought that this album was going to come out in 2010 and we ended up finding out it was delayed till 2011 .. so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it comes out early in 2011.
Oh and DV the Flames are SHIT!!!!! xo.

Everyone else has been releasing solo material....but they are gonna get bigger i have feeling. He made a song with Devendra Banhart, ONE SONG, while all the other ones made 1 or 2 ALBUMS. He was too busy knocking his girlfriend up with twins, apparently. I don't like him anymore, what a fucking wanker.

Nick Valensi sung backing vocals and played guitar for Devendra Banhart's song "Shabop Shalom" on the 2007 album Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon.[6] Furthermore, he contributed backing vocals on the self-titled debut album of his bandmate Fab Moretti's band, Little Joy. He also played guitar for Regina Spektor's song "Better", which was released on her album Begin to Hope and also published as a single in a slightly different version on which the guitar parts are rearranged. He appears in the video for "Adam & Steve", a song by Devendra Banhart's side project Megapuss. He appears in the video for "No One's Better Sake" by Little Joy as drummer. He plays guitar on Sia's album We Are Born and has also written several hooks and melodies on it.
