It's very, very good. Parts of 'The Words That Maketh Murder' make me almost start singing that annoying as fuck 'Bird Is The Word' song Still, this is excellent stuff.

Parts of 'The Words That Maketh Murder' make me almost start singing that annoying as fuck 'Bird Is The Word' song Oh my, what a record. She's just never gonna do a shitty record is she (i like Uh Huh Her, ya gits!) Really loving her vocals on this new 'un too. There's something a bit different about 'em, that I can't quite put my finger on. The album just drips with melody, and though i don't think it'll bring her many new fans (tbh i think them days are gone), it's easily the strongest since Stories, innit I reckon I love her x

Reminds me of Kate Bush quite a lot in places, especially with the vocal style and the themes of the songs.

Loving the reviews so far, I'll give it a listen tomorrow. I'd honestly say she's the most diverse and consistent artist I've grown up with.
How does this album rank in comparison to her others? To Bring You My Love is probably my favourite but I struggle to fault any.

turtleed this cos i found it really interesting. Harvey talking to the Guardian Music Weekly podcast. Pretty in-depth about the making of the new album, her vocals, lyrical themes, etc. Well worth a listen www.sendspace.com/file/ikt8mn

I mentioned LAST MONTH that the single was absolutely stunning, I'm not surprised that the album has been getting rave reviews.
Hopefully she does a UK tour soon.

This is nearly my first serious contact with her ever, but this is so damn good, isn't it? Best production I've heard in a while too, everything works like it should, everything magically flows to its own place.
