Mentioned on here (or another thread) about Norman Records top 50 of the year and taking a punt on some of their recommendations.
Well, their number one; Bracken- Exist Resist arrived a few days ago and it's a very beautiful thing.
Also, Hiss Golden Messenger - Lateness of Dancers

My vinyl started playing too slow, now every album sounds like fat people singing, for every rpm. Any clue?

Daniel Johnston must sound mindblowing on your record player!
Records are so popular now. I used to deliver one in a blue moon at work but now so many people are ordering records. The problem is that the price of second hand vinyl has gone through the roof. It's difficult to find much at charity chops/car-boots as so many people are buying them up and re-selling through Ebay & whatnot.
Also, the price of new vinyl is so damn high. You'd think with the constant growth over the past few years & the fact many records are now being mass produced that the price would've come down a bit. I know there's a problem with the lack of pressing plants & whatnot, but there's no way a record by the likes of Beck or Jack White (where absolutely thousands of them are pressed) should be selling for £20.
That's why I'm only ever going to pick up maybe half a dozen new records a year then any bargains that I come across on the way, too much of an expensive habit.

And it's all artificially high now. Definitely Maybe and WTSMG, best selling vinyl records of the 90s pretty much, yet impossible to find nowadays for under 60 quid. It's ridiculous. And theyre all milking it, look at the last Goat record with the 16 different versions on vinyl.

More records sold in 2014 than any year since 93.
Fucking delighted it's not died. Putting a download link in every new record was a brilliant idea too. I don't suppose too many kids will buy but people with disposable income will continue too.
It's a quadruple whammy- you get big beautiful packaging, great sound, putting a record on your deck each time feels like a little event and it's fucking cool.
However, Rough Trade are getting no more of my money. They're overpriced to start with and I've had to take 4 of the last 8 records I've bought from there back coz they' were warped.

I've bought a ton lately. Finally got my turn-table & records set up in the living room, before I had to get the table out and set it up so I rarely bothered. So I've been finally enjoying the shit I've got. Bought about 40 records in the past few months so need to stop for a while and enjoy the stuff I've gotten.

Examples pls... And how many CDs were it, Krburg, if you don't mind me asking? You just went to a record store and sold them there? Been wondering what to do with mine. Read somewhere that the going rate is 1 euro per CD, so with my 150 CDs I think I'm not gonna bother for that... Some of my latest: Pinkshinyultrablast - Everything Else Matters Les Big Byrd - They Worshipped Cats Les Big Byrd - Back to Bagarmossen (on 10") Makthaverskan - Makthaverskan Makthaverskan - Witness (7") Michael Head - Velvets in the Dark (7") Also preordered the new Wand album Makthaverskan are such a great band, happy to say I've got everything by them now

I've not played it yet Karl. I actually don't know if it is the reissue, I got a bit confused as I thought there were a few of the albums that hadn't been reissued yet (NMSWP being one of them). But, it was a new sealed copy in Sister Ray so i'm assuming it must be a reissue/re-master.
