Butland & Pickford have been a lot better, barely a game goes by where Hart doesn't let in a saveable shot. Another England manager who makes noises about picking based on form etc. but just can't bring themselves to do so. |

With a front 5 of Pogba, Lemar, Mbappe, Griezmann & Giroud, France managed to draw 0-0 with Luxembourg. This (and many other examples) will be conveninetly forgotten by pundits the next time England make hard work of beating a team in a qualifier and we hear that 'France would have stuck 8 past them'.

Of all the examples of players being selected regardless of performance I reckon this is the worst of the lot. If he emerged any time in at least the last four years he wouldn't even make the squad. |
