 Gutted about Seth, I saw them at the 02 Friday night & Seth was supposed to be topping the bill. They brought in Ambrose instead which was a decent replacement. Was good show overall, Ric Flair hosted - looked pissed as fuck Could turn out a good thing this Rollins injury, I've got real bored with it lately & wasn't going to watch anymore until the royal rumble but with Rollins, Cena, Orton out & still no Daniel Bryan they might actually push some of their younger talent rather than forcing the same shit down everyones throats. Survivor series now has the potential to be quite interesting. |

Wrestlemania season is upon us!
I love this time of year for wrestling. From now until about 2 months after Wrestlemania is the only time I make an effort to watch RAW and SmackDown.
I've booked the Monday after the Rumble off at work so I don't have to endure being a tired, unfocussed mess all day.
About this...
I think it's pretty good. Means they'll have to get creative. I don't think they'd risk Angle in case he dies in the ring. Goldberg, maybe, but they'd need to sort something out real quick because for anything to work, I think he'd need to comeback at the Rumble. Not sure what they'd do, or who he'd face, but apparently he keeps himself in great shape and it'd be a cool moment to see him back for one last match.
Honestly, I still think 'Mania can be pretty good. Sure, they don't have Cena, Rollings, Orton or Sting, but, there is still the likes of Lesnar, 'Taker, Triple H, Reigns, Ambrose, Owens & Wyatt, so they're still in a pretty strong position, and that's without the potential for something to happen with Balor and the 4 guys from NJPW (Styles, Nakamura, Gallows & Anderson) Rumour is they'll be forming "Balor Club" (I guess a WWE-lite version of Bullet Club) and that, booked correctly, could be incredible.
Oh yeah, and there's The Rock; he is promising something big for WM. And Bryan, maybe he'll get cleared in time for a match?

I honestly think the whole Bryan situation is a work. He claims he's been cleared by two doctors, but the WWE Dr won't clear him. I reckon there was some truth to it months ago but they decided to keep him rested whilst pushing Reigns so there couldn't be another backlash.
I hope so anyway, would love to see a lengthy Nakamura/Bryan match at mania. I can't see them investing in lengthy programs with Bryan anytime soon so perhaps just letting him have great matches lower on PPV cards against some of their more technically gifted guys will go down well.
The problem with Wyatt is they've booked him like shit for far too often. I'd honestly have put the belt on him soon as rollins got injured, with the other members it'd have made him almost untouchable. I think the era is wrong for the Wyatt's too, that whole thing with Reigns daughter looked awesome on paper and then they did fuck all with it. Suppose thats what happens when you have a PG13 product, I'd of had Bray abduct Reigns daughter and when he comes to get her the other 3 members violently gang-rape Reigns whilst he watches Bray slit his daughters throat.
Dunno why they don't let me write the storylines tbh.

Normally I wouldn't be too bothered about Cena being out for ages but I was kind of intrigued by how the rumoured Cena V Taker Wrestlemania match would have gone down. Not sure where that leaves Taker for Mania if Sting isn't back by then. Kevin Owens? Wouldn't blame Taker for giving it a miss if they offer him a match he's already done 100 times before.
