The 90s

Very pleased with this one. It's now starting to get harder to really pick out the artists/songs that had an impact. It's getting too close to the present so it's difficult to have any substance in the short history of them.

For having the Twin Peaks theme in your 1990 list, this project gets an automatic thumbs up. Fuck I love it. I think its the most haunting piece of music Ive ever heard and taken with the imagery, its extraordinary to me, that vision.

A different version, but nice to see the subtleties of the piece...

Thats a really cringe-worthy moment on the show. I do like the guitar tones and the guitar itself haha.

I love this though:

If you like that right there, download Julee Cruise's "Floating Into The Night", all the music is by Badalmenti and Lynch. A few of the soundtrack songs are on there, like this one above.

I honestly never thought it would stay but reading up on it I felt it was a good representation of the Euro disco wave that really populated the radio back then.
And they sold freaking 18 million albums.
Not that that is a criteria for the lists, but it's quite shocking in itself.

Thank God Oasis came along to crush my childhood's bad taste...

The Twin Peaks theme was among the first ones added to the list.
It had an impact that I think only Oasis and the Animals has had on me when I first heard it. It just spooked the hell out of me. Remember my sister following the series (I was a bit too young) but saw the intro everytime and yeah, spooky as shit for a 8 year old or whatever I was.
