It's not really about how drunk the crowd are but how into it they are. If people are pissed and into it then great if they're pissed and just going mad for the hits and being complete spastics during the rest of the set then it's fucking annoying.

theres no such thing as too drunk. also in finland (tampere especially) I saw masses of binge drinking that would make any englishman pause for a split-second before going with the flow. well yeah, but it doesn't work on the gigs. nothing is more annoying than cunts who have had too much to drink and then rush to the front row being really rude and obnoxious. the finns do drink way too much, but rarely at gigs, well at least on the gigs i go to. what babu fails to mention here is that at a gig in the zanzibar in liverpool while someone was playing upstairs he was stood at the back rotten drunk screaming finnish swear words at whoever it was that was playing.

welcome to the land of nordic alcohol laws. it's really fucking annoying, in Finland it's like that on every festival, even the ones that have the age limit of 18, not sure about Sweden. But that's the law and they have to abide it

fucking hell, i'm sure that actually encourages drunkenness as people wanna get wasted before they pile into the crowd yeah, this one festival banned own bottles altogether from the festival site this summer and the result was the most alcohol related poisonings the festival has ever had. by a wide margin too but yeah, the alcohol-laws are really backwards over here
