he didnt. thommo was saying that on soccer saturday today. clatternburg just shrugged his shoulders. but the whole thing with the advantage being played is that if it turns out that no advantage has been gained, ie the opposition regain possession then they just bring it back to the free kick dont they. so that is exactly what should have happened if he really was playing advantage I don't think they do, once the whole play has stopped they usually go back and book a player or revisit the offence . If so though you're right and everything i've said is bollocks (cause then there is summat he could have done) oh shit i forgot to do my fantasy team this week Yeh actually they do go back if they play the advantage and lose the ball straight away, it usually always results in a free kick because the referee deems that it wasn't a fair advantage.

Clattenburg should be banned, if they are worried about the integrity of the referee's decision no one has to come out and admit they made a mistake but Clattenburg should be banned (and indirect admission but yeah not a proper admission)
A professional organisation are bound to have had the conversation we've just had (all be it a much shorter one) realised that there are several ways Clattenburg fucked up and he should be punished to be honest.
