I'm a huge Fannies fan but I don't have that LP. However, it has THIS on it so it must be the bollocks.

It is good record though theres a few instrumentals that do nothing for me & overall for me its the sound of a band that hasn't quite realised their potential yet but it does contain Everything Flows which has one of the best guitar sounds I've ever heard on a record.
Anyone ever bothered with their second record 'The King"? Supposed to be shit.

Anything besides Grand Prix and Bandwagonesque that I should check out for when I see them?

Baby Lee is wonderful tbh. Ain't got time for that, maybe the compilation will do...

Baby Lee is good- the rest is terrible. which is sad because i absolutely love the fanclub. But Like Rod, i dont have A Catholic Education. But also like karl and rod said- EVERYTHING FLOWS.
Barny, the compilation is good- a pretty pitch perfect collection of great songs and what makes them fantastic, but it really is a bit of a trailer. it just leaves you wanting more from them, you'll end up hunting down tons of TFC albums after.

Yeah, the new one is pretty poor apart from Baby Lee and Sometimes I Don't Need to Believe in Anything. Bandwagnesque, Grand Prix and Songs from Northern Britain are must-haves along with 4766 seconds. Other than that there are just a few songs off each album/rarities worth having, Norman 3, It's All in my Mind and the cover of Alex Chilton's "Free Again" being the first ones which spring to mind.

Always really loved Thirteen as well. Plus Howdy! has some CLASSIC pop songs like I Need Direction and Dumb Dumb Dumb on it. Top band, glad to see them the 23th of November in Utrecht

I have that Free Again single too, someone turtled it not long ago saying it was a new one, then Rod went nuts
