i love pulp but these reformations are getting awful boring (although i might just be saying that since i missed the pavement and libertines gigs - 2 i would have chopped off my balls to see)

They went "on hiatus" in 2001 or 2002 I think...perhaps it's a cliché but I do seem to remember Jarvis stressing that the group hadn't split up.

I'll be interested to see what the lineup is, I read an interview with Russel Senior a while back in which he managed to come across as a completely insufferable wank so hopefully he's not involved.

i saw pulp live back in 2002 i think it was something like their 3rd from last gig. its still one of the best gigs ive ever been to.

really hope i can make one of the gigs this time around. im in TCOTU anyway that weekend of wireless as we're going to the flaming lips/dinosaur jr/deerhoof thing on the friday and was gonna get a hotel that night and spend the day in TCOTU on the saturday. might try and persuade the bird to spend an extra night there now so we can see pulp on the sunday. have to see who else gets added though cos wireless tends to be pretty shit in general and im sure they'll be tons of pulp gigs eventually.

Just tell her you will take her sight seeing on the saturday, she'll fall for it.. Then take her some shit indie gig in Soho instead.
