Come on Jesus, these lists shouldn't appear until at least mid december. I have started to think about mine though this is not a final list. but see, i know im missing a shit load of stuff that you guys could suggest and thats what im looking for. im not looking for peoples best ofs, just albums that should be in consideration so i can start listening before we make our final decisions. thats it.

I know, I was just warning THE ENTIRE SOAPBOX as each year somebody trys to be the first to show off their amazing taste when the majority know of the mid december RULE.
Jesus, you have pretty similar taste to me so you have most the stuff I have though I really enjoy these ones which you've not listed cer lo green, the divine comedy, deer tick. edwyn collins, grinderman, jesse malin, kevin burgess, paul weller, steve mason, 22-20's

No love for M.I.A.'s effort from this year then? Has the inevitable post Paper Planes backlash put people off? I reckon it's up there with her other 2 albums, definitely. Infact I rate it above Arular. It's refreshing to note that she didn't go the easy route and hit out with a predictable pop album, which she could easily have done and probably taken over the world. The sheer bite in Maya gets me everytime, from the power drill intro to Steppin' Up straight through the album. It's crazy to think she's 35. I would also like to have sex with her Give me that over Laura Marling's borefest anyday.
