lol very bitter
Steve white has been slagging noel and oasis off on his website ever since his brother got sacked, was regular attacks. Really petty, nobody cares.
As much as I was a fan of OCS (they actually turned completely shit when michella left so fair play to him) they were the most retro band of the fucking lot, completely stuck to the 60's with everything from their sound to their fashion.

It's 'ripped off' from about 15 songs, like most songs are as bonehead says "you play e a and d and you've already ripped off Peggy sue and Lola, classics....."

I was thinking it was a tad ironic as well. 'stuck in the 60's' indeed.

Similar, miles away from being note for note though.

I'll trust you Karl seeing as I don't play guitar. Does sound very similar though. Bobby Gillespie strikes me as the type who's unlikely to give a shit anyway, therefore, it's all good ;D

Christ, if anyone has a case for being ripped off on TIOBI, it's Ray Davies.
Marco Nelson was one of the guys who was on a few of Weller's records in the mid-90s (Stanley road and heavy soul, as I recall), so he's probably tight with Minchella and Steve White from that. I wouldn't take a single word Steve White has to say about anything related to oasis seriously ever.

TIOBI's got more than a bit of Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite in it too.

I heard this ages ago but am yet to register my thoughts on the universe's premier BDI forumspace which means they might as well not exist, so here goes... it's fooking ace you cunt, a big, fun ole' rumble with no interest in anything that's happening outside the walls of it's own 4 minutes - like Oasis in the days of yore. Of course my brain had to go through it's usual nonsense with stuff I've been anticipating of 'the structures all wrong, this guitar break isn't right, the song should end here or here, but not THERE' but once you trudge through that kind of bullshit it's a majorly fun jink I think.
Conversely the b-side which everyone loves I find a bit of a slog, it does have Liam Gallagher on vocals though and I have heard unconfirmed reports that it's a cover, so mustnae grumble

The song is credited to Gallagher/Archer/Bell, if this hasn't been posted. It was produced by Beady Eye and Lillywhite, unlike the B side, the band alone.

Pretty sure that its one of Liams though, that they all worked on. Was originally very guitar based. I think this was in Japanese magazine interview.

I think it's an alright song. Their only wrong decission yet was to choose it as their presentation though.

hey loose, what do you think of four letter word? awful. it's just plodding, lifeless music. not trying to be funny or whatever. all these songs are like a film with no plot. just drifting, pointless and dumb.
