loose: people with ears, brains, audio equipment and a soul actually agree that it is awesome. hey man, i'm just giving my opinion. maybe it's not as bad as i say it is, but it's certainly not 'awesome'.

hey loose, what do you think of four letter word? awful. it's just plodding, lifeless music. not trying to be funny or whatever. all these songs are like a film with no plot. just drifting, pointless and dumb. How does FLW plod or drift? Fair enough if you don't like it but I don't see how that or BTL do either of those things. I don't mind the Roller but I can at least see how those things might apply to it if you didn't like it. Are you a Noel willy washer? We don't take to kindly to that round these here parts.

Can we have a jury of experts in the art of ear savor and get the best approved versions of every song released? Specially for the only vinyl b-sides.

Can we have a jury of experts in the art of ear savor and get the best approved versions of every song released? Specially for the only vinyl b-sides. Theres only two songs "officially" released as of today. Four if you count everything. Bring The Light and Sons of the Stage vinyl single - If you get the vinyl single off of a torrent site like What, you're getting quality. Bring The Light has a variety of different versions since its been released digitally as well. Four Letter Word is only out in Youtube rips. The Roller's 1 track web promo is out, its turtled.

Four Letter Word is only out in Youtube rips. The NME video is higher video and audio quality. 112k mp3 embedded in the FLV, YouTube vids go no higher than 96k. SOTS in the Andy Bell DJ set seems to be digitally sourced, only 128k mp3 and a few seconds of the intro/outro mixed in with other songs.

i've been more critical of noel's recent work than anyone. and it doesn't change the fact that liam's songwriting 'ability' is shit. he has the brain of a 13 yr old and that's exactly what his music sounds like. underdeveloped, boring crap.

He has the brain of a 13 year old? Have you ever actually liked Oasis? I thought we'd got over this by now. Liam is a clever guy, although his lyrics are at best, average. That doesn't mean the music sounds shit. Infact Liam probably does very little of the actual musical side of the songs, so I'm not even sure what you're on about.

There's fuck all wrong with Liam or his songs. Sure, there's the odd duff moment (Won't Let You Down?) but generally speaking I enjoy most of his Oasis written tunes.
His stuff on Heathen Chem was really good. Songbird, Born On A Different Cloud, Better Man, they're fucking TUNES. His Don't Believe The Truth contributions are also strong. I was listening to Don't Believe The Truth Last night, actually. Love Like A Bomb & Guess God Thinks I'm Abel are lovely. Not fantastic lyrically, but really, who cares? I enjoy singing along. Meaning of Soul is also ace. And then there was Dig Out Your Soul to which Liam contributed to fine songs. The first time I heard I'm Outta Time I was astounded tbh. Sure, it got boring after the 1,006th listen but what song doesn't? Ain't Got Nothing is testosterone in song. It's dirty rock which has swagger and attitude. If you don't like it you're probably queer and should go have a wank over Chris Martin's protentious, gaping poo pipe. And Solider On is fucking brilliant, Liam's finest hour.
I for one am excited for Beady Eye. Sure, they won't do anyhting new or groundbreaking but that's something I'm used to because Oasis we're no different. So what if they sound like The Beatles or The Stones or whatever they're gonna sound like? I like that music and nobody else is really doing anything like it so in some ways, it's quite fresh.

The thing is during the first days we listen to Oasis related songs we give them the double plays than any other normal one, and think about it a thousand times more. Stop the thinking, FEEL THE POWER

I have put this for the first time in days and fuck, it has hit me in the face like Dan seeking Mahoney in summer of 2010. Seriously, loving it more than ever. Have added both singles in itunes finally, don't care if the rips are that good, the songs sound powerful.

I've always enjoyed Bring theThe Light. At first I thought it was good but fairly throwaway, now I reckon it's the best of the 4 or 5 tunes we've head. The band nail some fucking groove :nods:
