Only just getting into these. Always thought The Rat was a tune but that's all I'd ever heard. Anyway, got some of their stuff (Bows & Arrows, Lisbon, Everyone Who Pretended To Like Me Is Gone) the other week and my God, they're brilliant. Achingly gorgeous in some places, rocking as fuck in others, but generally, brilliant.
I see they've got another few albums besides the ones I've got so will be getting them sometime soon but gonna enjoy loving these 3 for a bit longer.
Great fucking band.

it's weird, The Rat is one of my favourite songs of the last 20 years and the new album is maybe my favourite of the year, but i do find them a little strained at times. i think thats why i like Lisbon so much, they took their foot off the pedal a bit and the melodies really seemed to benefit from it.

Yeah, I've noticed Lisbon seems a lot more effortless, more melodic and laid back. Stil really like the rest of their stuff, though. They remind me of so many different bands but only in parts. Not sure who or what I'd compare their complete sound to.

I also just discovered this band this yr and I had never heard The Rat before this yr and it instantly became one of my favorite songs of all time. It is that good. In The New Year is my second favorite song.
And the album is one of my top 10 of the yr. No doubt. What a great fuckin band.

They're great. My fave tune is Brandy Alexander, but Lisbon is going to be near the top of my end-of-year list. Its easily their most complete record.

Tucker, you MUST hear You & Me, it's hauntingly and depressingly beautiful.
My favorite song by them has to be their cover of Another One Goes By. It hurts me how much I love it.

Lisbon is so awesome.
Met a couple the other day who had just got married and had there first dance at the wedding to 'red moon', lovely stuff.

cant wait to go and see them with ben and a couple of friends of mine on 12/2... should be good. you & me is a masterpiece, lisbon is almost just as good. two fantastic albums, and i actually really like a hunderd miles off - seems to be a bit of a "miss" for most fans.
