Doctors are a band from christchurch heavily influenced by BJM. to date their recorded output has been a series of solo self recorded EP's which are slightly more acoustic based and performed only by the bands genius guitarist leader- Rhett Copland.
This is his latest EP its free and its pre release hype has it as Rhetts best work to date. When they play live theyre a full band, who are sonically ridiculous, but we have to wait for the full line up to be unleashed on record, when theyre rumoured to be signed to flying nun in the new year. Live theyre quite some beast.
Various members of Doctors also play in Bits and Pieces, Christchurch's premier beat pop combo- and also in THE LONELY HARRIS CLUB which is solely a Brian Jonestown Massacre covers band- naturally they are amazing, and need to play more.
but i dont have turtleable recordings of any of those christchurch superstars
