VH1 Latin America has decided to do these ads with mash-ups of pop songs with Latin rhythms, and the results are often amazing . Check it oot: Calle 13 + The Supremes Comanche + Gwen Stefani + Black Eyed Peas Vanilla Ice + Cha Cha Cha Britney + INXS And my favorite one: Missy Elliot + Tigres del Norte

just listening to richard james formerly of gorkys zygotic myncis solo album from earlier this year. it seemed to pass everyone by completely but is actually really lovely and i think a few people here would like it a lot.
here's the single anyway

Thats a top tune Jp, had no idea he had a record out. Reminds me of Shack a bit. yeah its ace, thought youd like it. he has another solo album from about 2006 but ive not been able to find it anywhere to download. i actually think i prefer this new album of his to any of euros childs from gorkys solo work actually, even though euros was the main singer in the band. mind you i guess its a bit like blur with coxon having the best solo career. UP THE RICHARD JAMES. will have to check shack out properly though. i know you love them but i always wrote them off as being a bit dadrock or something without ever really listening to them. i bought hms fable a few years ago but think i sold it. whats the best album to try?

Avoid HMS Fable, I wouldn't call it dadrock but they were definitely bitten by the britpop era.
Waterpistol is seen as their most iconic record & probably is best though I'll recommend Here's tom with the weather which is what that tune you posted reminded me of.
Never been keen on the bits & pieces i've heard from Euros childs, wasn't very impressed with the Chops LP either though probably only heard it a couple of times.

you know what it reminds me of a song of that "the legends" album, but with retro arrangements. good stuff. JP get on shack!
