I woke up this morning singing a track called Set Your Sorrow Free by Howie Payne (ex-Stands). I haven't heard that track since 2008. And it hasn't even been officially released - I think I must have heard it on his Myspace page and ripped it with Audacity at the time. And my brain for some reason decided to regurgitate it today. It's in my old hard drive back in Rome, and for the love of god, now I can't find it online. If any of you happens to have it (and I know some of you do) would you be so kind as to send it to me? Ta muchly. The track HAS BEEN FOUND, but not as I had remembered it. It was later re-recorded as "After Tonight" and released on Howie's second solo LP "Mountain". You can still hear all the lyrics and the bit "... and set your sorrow free", but it's vastly inferior to the original demo Howie released on myspace right after The Stands split. What the fuck went wrong with this lad, he released some brilliant demos after the Stands, stuff like Set Your Sorrow Free, Los Angeles, When Summer Has Passed - then he rerecorded everything and they all sounded like SHIT. I think he enjoyed moderate success when he didn't try to make it, then he tried too hard to make it and enjoyed none.
